- Leaking or empty containers
- Constructions-related materials
- Improperly packaged items
Tips for Preparing your Household Hazardous Waste for Dropoff at Stella Roberts Recycling Center
- Paint must be in original container. (I.e. no plastic food containers, milk, jugs, mason jars etc.)
- Empty plastic paint cans will NOT be accepted, these can be put in your garbage.
- Paint with dried paint layers no longer accepted, these can be put in your garbage.
Transporting Hazardous Wastes:
- Make sure the containers are no leaking
- DO NOT combine your hazardous materials into a plastic bag. This will almost always cause a leak or spill. Leaking or spilled materials will not be accepted at the Recycling Center.
- DO NOT leave ANY materials at the Recycling Center while the center is is closed.
We are unable to accept Hazardous Materials from:
- Businesses
- Non-Profit Organizations
- City, County or State Organizations/Departments
- Landlords
Bulk & Brush Collection
Bulk, bundles brush, and bagged green waste will be collected together on the same collection day.
(NOTE: This may be different than your previous schedule.
Acceptable Waste:
- Limit of two (2) cubic yards maximum bulk waste (approximately 6ft x 3ft x 3ft or 12-15 large outdoor bags)
- White goods, including washers/dryers/refrigerators/freezers (Note: appliances must have freon removed and be tagged by licensed contractor prior to placing on curb for collection)
- Small furniture, mattresses
- Brush tied in bundles
- Bagged green waste**
Unacceptable Waste:
Waste classified as Hazardous or Special Waste which may violate or endanger nay person, party, permit, condition, legal or regulatory requirement or facilities, or present a danger to the health or safety of the public or employees.
These include, but no limited to:
- Construction and demolition debris
- Hazardous waste
- Medical waste
- Rocks, dirt, concrete, dimensional lumber, tree limbs larger than 4 inches in diameter and 49 inches in length
** Bagged green waste is preferred in the trash cart (dark gray with green lid); waste must completely fit in cart with lid closed.

To prevent any future problems, we ask that you bag any waste being placed in the gray and green Frontier Trash cart to help minimize loose trash/
debris on street during service, odors, and the need to wash carts frequently. No. The new recycling and trash carts will be delivered without additional cost. The capacity of the new cart should be sufficient for the average household, considering it will be serviced twice per week, along with once per week recycle services. If the 95 gal cart is not sufficient, an additional cart may be requested for an additional monthly rate.
For the majority of Pearland residents, service dates will remain the same. Less than 10% of the addresses will se a day change. Check out the detailed service map on pages 11 & 12. Residents can also check for updated service maps via Pearland’s website (& entering your address), the Frontier Waste App, or Frontier’s website.
Frontier will observe two (2) holidays – Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Scheduled service that falls on one of these two holidays will be services the next scheduled service day. (Ex: Residents scheduled for trash service on Thanksgiving Thursday will be serviced on the following Monday. Scheduled recycling or bulk/green waste will be serviced the following Thursday.) Yes, the recycling truck will be a different unit, but both trucks will operate in the “Side-Load” mechanical arm function.
Carts should be placed with the lid opening facing the street and the wheels closest to the curb. Each cart should be a minimum of 4ft from any objects including mailboxes, fire hydrants, cars, other carts, etc.

On occasion, residents may have more trash than usual There are multiple options available to residents:
- A -pink tag- can be purchased via the Frontier Waste App or by contacting Frontier for $0.65/tag. Once purchased, place tag on extra bags at curb and driver will collect.
- Residents can arrange with Frontier for a special pick-up for debris more than two (2) yards for an additional cost. A Frontier representative will provide the cost estimate prior to servicing.
- An additional cart can be obtained for $9.26/month additional, plus taxes, if trash volume is consistently more than what fits in the cart.
