Service Day

  • Trash, Recyling, and Bulk Pickups will occur weekly on Thursday 
  •  Please keep in mind that different services use different vehicles, while all is picked up on Thursday, pickups are not simultaneous.  
  • Please place your trash, recycle, and any bulk pickup items by the curb no later than 7AM on collection day to ensure service! 

Trash Services

  • All trash must be bagged, tied, and placed inside your Frontier Waste cart 
  • Please place your cart(s) at least 4 feet from other objects such as cars or mailboxes. 
  • The handle facing your house & lid opening facing the street.
  • Please place cart(s) by the curb no later than 7AM on your service day

Recycle Services

Recyclable

  • Aluminum beverage cans
  • Plastic bottles numbered #1 , #2 , #3 , #4, #5 ,#7
  • Glass bottles / jars: clear, green, and brown
  • Steel and tin food cans
  • Newspaper, Junk Mail, Envelopes, Magazines
  • Boxboard (cereal boxes, food boxes, snack boxes)
  • Printing and office paper
    Cardboard (please break down and fold)

Non-Recyclable

  • Plastic bags
  • Ceramics
  • Light bulbs
  • Soiled paper (pizza boxes, paper plates/cups)
  • Metal and glass cookware
  • Kids toys (stuffed animals, hard plastic toys, etc)
  • Food waste
  • Napkins, paper towels, paper plates, and plastic utensils
  • YARD WASTE
  • Garden hoses, electrical cords, Christmas lights
  • Styrofoam

Bulk and Brush Services

Acceptable Items

  • Old furniture & boxes (folded and broken down)
  • Tree trimmings, bagged yard waste must be cut, tied, bundled- 40lb limit, and under 4ft in length.
  • Appliances- per Federal Law, all appliances that previously contained Freon must be certified to confirm that all Freon has been properly removed. The certification should be attached to the appliance when setting it out for collection

Unacceptable Items

  • Vehicle tires, metals such as large car parts
  • Gasoline & oil (cans & filters)
  • Landscaping debris, rocks, pallets, DIY projects
  • Construction debris (contractor removal required)
  • Paint, carpet, glass (mirrors or windows)
  • Contractor tree debris (contractor removal required)

Household Hazardous Waste

The Town of Bartonville, Frontier Waste Solutions,  and Household Hazardous Waste Solutions have partnered to provide our residents with free pickup to discard Household Hazardous Wastes. We are only closed, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years day. If the holiday falls on or before your service day, services will be pushed back one day. You will be serviced on Friday. Your service on Jan 2, 2025, will not be affected.
