Texoma here means the Texas side of Lake Texoma, which the Handbook of Texas places in Grayson and Cooke counties. Frontier’s Pottsboro location on Highport Road covers the lake country. Beyond every city limit, lake houses, ranches, acreage and job sites can book a roll-off from us. Whitesboro, Howe and Collinsville use Frontier as their city waste provider, and in the other towns we serve businesses, with scheduled bins and with roll-offs for contractors and commercial jobs.

How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

Where a lake lot meets Corps land

Lake Texoma’s shoreline is federal ground. The Corps of Engineers’ 2021 Shoreline Management Plan for the lake defines it as the land from the 617-foot conservation pool up to the government’s fee-owned boundary, and it spells out what adjacent owners can’t do there:

Burn. No private individual may burn anything on land the Corps manages.

Pile things up. Garbage, trash and refuse can’t accumulate on it, and the Corps can remove and impound boats, travel trailers or wood piles kept there.

Clear at will. The plan’s vegetation guidelines cap mowing and trimming at 30 feet onto government property, bar cutting any tree over 2 inches across at the base, and forbid bulldozers.

Use rubble as riprap. Erosion-control riprap has to be natural stone, never building rubble.

A lake-lot cleanup, then, stays on the private side of the line, in a container. Broken concrete and pavers go in the 20-yard, which handles heavy debris, and a cabin’s worth of worn-out furniture fits the 30-yard, carded for junk removal; here’s which box a lake-lot cleanup needs.

Three kinds of Texoma address

Whether we can take a job comes down to where the property sits:

Unincorporated county. Outside any town in Grayson or Cooke County, including lake subdivisions that lie beyond a city limit, houses, ranches, acreage and job sites can book either roll-off size on this page.

Whitesboro, Howe and Collinsville. All three have named Frontier their official waste service provider and sit on the list of every city that contracts its trash to Frontier. Our Collinsville page dates the town’s first Frontier pickup to November 21, 2025, and lays out Collinsville’s Friday pickup details. In Whitesboro, Frontier’s city page sends anyone with remodeling debris to City Hall for a construction-dumpster quote.

Every other town. Inside Pottsboro, Denison, Sherman, Gainesville and the rest, our customers are businesses: scheduled bins, plus roll-offs for company buildings, contractors’ jobs and commercial sites.

Storm damage at the water's edge

Wind finds the shoreline as readily as the towns. NOAA’s Storm Events Database logs a brief EF-0 tornado on and near Lake Texoma in Grayson County on May 20, 2015; a National Weather Service survey found damage to two buildings on land and a marina roof on the south shore completely destroyed. On May 22, 2020, emergency management reported a metal roof torn off a manufactured home near US 377 and FM 901 by Gordonville. And on October 16, 2022, a public report to NOAA described a dock flipped by thunderstorm winds on the lake just east of Gordonville.

Torn-off roofing and splintered framing are what a blow like that leaves on a lake property. Both sizes on this page are carded for roofing, so for the re-roof, see roll-offs for a storm-damaged lake-house roof.

Texoma dumpster rental questions

Do you deliver to lake houses outside the towns?

Yes. Unincorporated Grayson and Cooke County is open to us, so a lake house, ranch, acreage or building site there can order a roll-off from Frontier's Pottsboro location. The container has to sit on a hard, flat spot, and the truck needs at least a 60-foot run to reach it with nothing lower than 21 feet overhead, so look up at the branches over a wooded lake driveway. Call (888) 854-2905 with the address.

Can I clear brush and dead trees on the Corps strip behind my lot?

Only with paperwork in hand. The Corps' 2021 shoreline plan requires a Shoreline Use Permit for any private vegetation work on its land, and its guidelines have a ranger inspect dead or fallen trees before the Lake Office issues a free wood-cutting permit. Under the plan, unpermitted clearing brings a moratorium of at least five years on any more vegetation work in that spot. Whatever you're allowed to cut can't be burned there or left piled up, so it leaves in a container.

We bought a lake house with a dock. What does the Corps expect?

Start with the Lake Office. The shoreline plan's permit conditions give a new owner 14 days to apply for a Shoreline Use Permit, or 30 days from the transfer to remove the dock and restore the site. A dock damaged beyond repair has to come out of the lake, and rebuilding takes the Lake Manager's written approval. Dock builders working on public land also file a Special Activity Permit with a site map of their materials storage and staging areas. If the old decking comes ashore, park the roll-off on your own lot, off federal land.
