Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does my trash need to be bagged?

    • To prevent any future problems, we ask that you bag any waste being placed in the gray and green Frontier Trash cart. This helps minimize loose trash/debris on the street during service, reduces odors, and decreases the need to wash carts frequently.
  • When will the new service start?

    • Frontier Waste will begin service for residents on Thursday, May 1st.
  • Will I have to pay for the new cart?

    • No Charge for a new cart. The new trash carts will be delivered at no additional cost and will be serviced once per week.
  • What if I have more trash than can fit into the cart?

    • If your new 95-gallon cart doesn’t meet your family’s needs, you can contact the City at 281-592-2669 to request an additional cart added to your account with a monthly fee.
  • Is my service day changing?

    • Check out the detailed service map via the “Waste Collection Days” tab. Residents can also check for updated service maps via the City’s website (by entering your address) or the Frontier Waste App.
  • What will happen if my service falls on a holiday?

    • Frontier will observe two holidays – Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Scheduled service that falls on one of these two holidays will be pushed to the next day. For example, residents scheduled for trash service on Thanksgiving Thursday will be serviced on Friday. Scheduled bulk will be serviced the next day. All service days and holidays can be found via the “Waste Collection Days” tab.
  • How should the carts be set out on my service days?
