Service Guidelines for Trash Collection

Trash will be collected twice a week on your designated trash collection days. 
  • Trash is placed in your Frontier Waste cart with the yellow lid.
  • Set out your cart before 7 AM on your scheduled collection day.
  • Pickups will occur between the hours of 7AM – 7 PM.
  • All trash must be bagged and tied before placing it in your Frontier Waste cart.
  • Place cart at least 3 feet from any other objects such as cars, mailboxes, or other carts.
  • Place cart facing the street with handle facing towards your home.
  • To receive an extra trash cart, please call the Utility Billing Office at (210) 659-0333 (Option 2).

Service Guidelines for Recycling Collection

Recycling will be collected once a week on your designated recycling collection day.
  • Recycling is placed in your Frontier Waste cart with the blue lid.
  • Set out your cart before 7 AM on your scheduled collection day.
  • Place empty and clean items in your recycling cart.
  • Do NOT bag your items.
  • Break down all cardboard boxes and place them loosely in the cart.
  • Overstuffing may prevent the cart from fully emptying during service.
  • Place cart at least 3 feet from any other objects such as cars, mailboxes, or other carts.
  • Place cart facing the street with handle facing towards your home.
  • To receive an extra recycling cart, please call the Utility Billing Office at (210) 659-0333 (Option 2).

Bulk & Brush Pickup Guidelines

Bulk & brush pickup will occur once a week on your designated bulk & brush collection day. 
  • Brush & bulk is limited to 4 cubic yards per collection.
  • Limbs cannot exceed 4 feet in length or 4 inches in diameter. Limbs greater than 4 inches in diameter should be cut into smaller lengths to limit their weight.
  • Tree trimmings and limbs must be tied with string or twine in bundles.
  • All grass clippings and leaves must be bagged.
  • Per federal law, all appliances containing freon must have the freon professionally removed by a certified technician. A certification tag confirming freon removal must be attached before the item is placed at the curb for collection.
  • No commercial debris is accepted.
  • No debris generated by a third party contractor is accepted. 

Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Household Hazardous Waste should never be placed into your trash or recycling carts. More information on how to schedule a HHW pickup coming soon. 
 
Household Hazardous Waste includes but is not limited to the following items: 
  • Outdoor insecticides and fertilizer
  • Automotive parts or batteries
  • Household solvents
  • Pool chemicals
  • Household chemicals
  • Paint products
  • Lamps
  • Electronic devices
  • Small and large batteries of any kind

Holiday Schedule

Trash and recycling collection will not be provided on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
