*The price of a dumpster rental in Lancaster TX is based on size, material, time, and distance within the region.

Lancaster lies in southern Dallas County, with 42,511 residents on January 1, 2026, according to the North Central Texas Council of Governments. Household trash and the City’s every-other-month bulk route belong to its contracted hauler, so inside the city limits our work is commercial: 2 to 8-yard bins on a set schedule, plus 20, 30 and 40-yard containers for business properties, building contractors and commercial projects. Past the city limits, any home, lot or job site can book a roll-off.

How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

Commercial remodel debris and the bulk route

Lancaster’s bulk and brush pickup comes every other month, alternating between addresses north and south of Pleasant Run Road. The City’s list of prohibited items opens with commercial construction and remodeling debris, and tires, batteries, propane tanks and household chemicals are refused as well. When a contractor guts a storefront, strips the carpet and ceiling tile out of an office suite or tears out a warehouse mezzanine in Lancaster, that debris needs a container of its own.

For those jobs, Frontier’s size guide steers business remodeling to the 30-yard and commercial demolition to the 40-yard. Our containers turn away tires, batteries and wet paint too. Before delivery day, tell us whether the box will sit on asphalt, a concrete pad or open ground, since a hard, flat surface is the best place to set it down.

What the April 2012 tornado left in Lancaster

On April 3, 2012, NOAA’s Storm Events Database shows, a tornado that formed near Highland Road in Red Oak crossed into Dallas County and cut through Lancaster. The database rates its Dallas County stretch EF2, with peak winds estimated at 130 mph. It damaged or tore off roofs at the Portofino Apartments, hit hardest near Wintergreen Road, Telephone Road and North Dallas Avenue, and cost Cedar Valley Christian Academy an entire wall. Where it crossed I-20 near Dynasty Drive, it struck a trucking company, and NOAA’s account says about 50 semitrailers there were damaged or destroyed. NOAA’s count for the city came to 64 homes destroyed, 51 with major damage and 58 with minor damage. Almost a year earlier, on April 11, 2011, straight-line winds of up to 95 mph peeled nearly the whole roof off a church on Dewberry Boulevard, according to NOAA.

Rebuilding after a storm like that starts with tearing off what’s left of the roof, and roll-offs sized for torn-off commercial roofing keep it off the parking lot. Storm debris is on our 40-yard card.

Burn permits in unincorporated Dallas County

Not all of the land south of Lancaster is inside a city. Near the Dallas–Ellis county line, the Census Bureau’s geocoder places some of it in unincorporated Dallas County and some in unincorporated Ellis County. On the Dallas County side, the County Fire Marshal’s rules make burning debris a permit job:

A permit for each day. Nobody may burn in the unincorporated county without a daily burn permit issued for the specific area.

Only what grew there. Dry plant growth natural to the site is the only fuel allowed, and brush hauled in from another property voids the permit. Lumber and household garbage can never be burned.

Days with no burning. The Fire Marshal rules out burning when winds are forecast above 15 mph, on a DFW Ozone Action Day, or while a Commissioners Court burn ban is in effect.

Lumber from a torn-down shed and fence boards from a cleared lot go in a roll-off instead. Elsewhere in the county, Frontier is the official hauler behind trash service in Balch Springs and Seagoville’s weekly collection.

Lancaster dumpster rental questions

Will you deliver to a house outside the Lancaster city limits?

Yes. Outside the city, a homeowner, landowner or builder can rent any of our three roll-off sizes: the 20, 30 or 40-yard. Inside Lancaster, household trash is the City's contracted service, so our in-city work is commercial, with bins for businesses and roll-offs for contractors and company sites. Not sure where an address falls? Give it to us when you call (888) 854-2905.

Is there a Frontier location close to Lancaster?

Yes. Frontier Waste Solutions Wilmer is at 6301 I-45, east of Lancaster, according to the page for Frontier's Wilmer location. It answers on the same North Texas line, (888) 854-2905.

Can a Lancaster warehouse recycle its shrink wrap and pallets?

Frontier runs a recycling facility at 400 W. Jessamine St. in Fort Worth, and its posted list takes shrink wrap and plastic film, wood pallets and crates, cardboard, paper and several grades of plastic. Appliances, anything with batteries, metal, glass and electrical items are on its turn-away list. Ask about the Jessamine Street recycling facility when you set up commercial service.
