*The price of a dumpster rental in Denison TX is based on size, material, time, and distance within the region.
Denison sits on US 75 just north of Sherman, and the City’s own Solid Waste department collects household trash. That makes our in-town customers businesses: plants, shops, offices and restaurants with a commercial bin on a regular pickup, plus contractors and company properties that need a roll-off. Past the city limits, in unincorporated Grayson County, we deliver to houses, acreage and job sites in either size shown below.

A wire plant, new warehouses and the old Johns Manville site
Denison’s industrial parks are filling in. On June 3, 2026, KXII reported that J&L Wire, a family-owned manufacturer from St. Paul, Minnesota, had opened a 6.5-acre plant in Denison with about 25 workers building wire mesh decks and other warehouse shelving, and that two more buildings were planned south of it: an 80,000-square-foot warehouse distribution center and a 50,000-square-foot building. Two days later, the Denison Development Alliance marked the end of the cleanup at the former Johns Manville plant, which KXII says opened in 1958 and closed in the late 1980s. The alliance says the 260 cleared acres there, with frontage on US 75, now carry the name North Texas Logistics Park.
Putting up and fitting out plants like these leaves pallets, banding, crating and broken concrete behind. Concrete and brick belong in the 20-yard, our heavy-debris size, and the 30-yard’s card starts with offices. Contractors can read up on the way a job-site roll-off rental runs.

Five spillway crests and water in downtown shops
Denison Dam holds back Lake Texoma. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ history of the lake says a Denison businessman, George Moulton, dreamed of a dam on the Red River at Baer’s Ferry as early as 1925; the Corps completed it in January 1944 and keeps its Lake Texoma project office on Corps Road in Denison. By the Corps’ count, the lake has gone over its 640-foot spillway five times: 1957, 1990, 2007 and twice in 2015.
That same year brought flash flooding to town. NOAA’s Storm Events Database logs high-water rescues in southwest Denison on May 7, 2015, with Pottsboro Road completely covered. On September 21, 2023, the database records heavy rain sending water into businesses downtown and closing low-lying roads. Gutting a flooded storefront means wet carpet, drywall and fixtures leaving at once; our page on emptying a flooded shop or office covers the tear-out.
Building past the city limits in Grayson County
Outside Denison, Grayson County’s Development Services office sets the rules, and they look different from a city’s:
Permits. The County doesn’t issue building permits or certificates of occupancy for single-family homes. Its Fire Marshal’s Office does require a building permit for new commercial, public and multifamily buildings of four units or more.
Driveway and address. A new E911 address or driveway culvert takes a County Development Certificate. Mark the entrance with a stake bearing your last name, the Precinct Foreman decides whether a culvert is needed, and a final driveway inspection follows.
Septic and floodplain. Any new or replacement septic system needs an On-Site Sewage Facilities permit, and development in a Special Flood Hazard Area needs a floodplain development permit and an elevation certificate.
Get the driveway in early. Our truck needs firm, level ground for the box, room to line up 60 feet out and 21 feet clear above.

Denison dumpster rental questions
Can a Denison business or contractor book with Frontier?
Yes. Plants, shops, offices and restaurants inside the city can sign up for scheduled bin service with us, and contractors, commercial job sites and company properties in town can order a roll-off. For a house, the address has to be beyond the city limits, somewhere in unincorporated Grayson County. In three Grayson County towns, Howe, Whitesboro and Collinsville, Frontier already runs the city trash service; here's how Frontier's Collinsville service runs. Call (888) 854-2905 with the address.
What does Denison require around a new dumpster?
Screening and room for the truck. The City's standard construction details, updated May 4, 2026 to add roll-off truck access and enclosure requirements, say garbage containers must be screened on all sides, behind solid metal gates that should open at least 11 feet wide. The details tell owners to plan for a 32-foot truck that has to get in, back up with at least 55 feet of straight room in front of the gates to reach a front-load bin, and get out again, and enclosures can't sit in fire lanes. The same sheet tells property owners to contact the City's engineering staff about how many containers they need and what size. Once the pad is poured, we can set anything from a 2-yard to an 8-yard bin there, and both lid locks and gravity bar locks are available.
Can a remodeling crew put its debris out for Denison's bulk pickup?
No. The City's bulk collection page lists construction debris, chemicals, hazardous waste, wet paint and tires among the things that don't go to the curb, and bulk days come six times a year, in February, April, June, August, October and December, for one pile no larger than 2 cubic yards. A remodeler or roofer working in Denison needs a container on the job. Ours take the drywall, flooring and shingles, but chemicals, wet paint and tires stay out of them too; here are the chemicals and tanks our drivers turn down.
