Boerne, the Kendall County seat, sits on Cibolo Creek along I-10 and US 87. Within Boerne’s city limits, Frontier serves businesses, from a commercial bin with steady pickups to a contractor’s 20, 30 or 40-yard roll-off. Beyond the city line, where ranch land keeps being divided into smaller properties, roll-offs go to homes and acreage in unincorporated Kendall County, and to Fair Oaks Ranch, just off I-10 southeast of Boerne, where Frontier holds the City’s waste franchise.

How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

Fair Oaks Ranch’s exclusive franchise agreement with Frontier dates from October 1, 2024, and the city it covers spans parts of Bexar, Comal and Kendall counties. Residents book bulk and brush pickups with us by phone, and the City’s garbage and recycling page sets the limits. Here’s how those pickups line up against a roll-off:

Cedar, live oak and the County's wildfire plan

Kendall County’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan was signed into effect on August 24, 2023. It describes the Hill Country’s rolling hills as covered mainly in grasses, Ashe juniper (cedar) and oaks, chiefly live oak. On the County’s wildfire page, a figure from the Texas A&M Forest Service puts 94 percent of Kendall County’s growth in the wildland-urban interface, where most Texas wildfires occur. The Census Bureau’s numbers show that growth too: 44,279 county residents in the 2020 Census and an estimated 53,289 on July 1, 2025.

The County asks residents to do the work around their homes that lowers the risk, and that work makes brush: thinned cedar, dead limbs, a cleared fence line. Our size cards list the 40-yard for large landscaping jobs. And burning isn’t always allowed. Kendall County’s most recent burn ban order was signed August 25, 2026, and the ban lifted October 2, 2026.

Hail in Comfort, a washout on FM 1376

NOAA’s Storm Events Database logs what Kendall County weather does to roofs and roads. Three recent entries:

October 24, 2025: gusts estimated at 60 mph tore some metal roofing and solar panels off a house near Comfort.

March 10, 2026: hail up to lime size fell in Comfort.

June 15, 2026: flash flooding closed numerous low-water crossings in Boerne and washed out part of FM 1376 at Wasp Creek.

Roofing is on the 20-yard card, and there’s more on re-roofing after hail. Floodwater leaves wet carpet, drywall and cabinets behind, a load that suits the 30-yard, whose card names home renovation projects. Our remodel container page covers tear-outs.

Boerne dumpster rental questions

When should oaks be trimmed around Boerne?

The City of Boerne's oak wilt rules say oaks shouldn't be trimmed or cut from February 1 to July 1, and every cut, fresh stump or damaged surface root should be painted right away. That leaves July through January for tree work, and a 40-yard can take the cuttings from a large job. Infected red oaks that die in late summer, fall or early winter are a separate case: the City's guidance is to cut them down and burn (when allowed), bury or chip them soon after discovery, before fungal mats can form the next spring.

Where do paint and pool chemicals go in Kendall County?

TCEQ's statewide list of household hazardous waste programs shows two in Kendall County, both home pickups: one for City of Boerne residents and one for Fair Oaks Ranch residents, who schedule a monthly pickup online. None of it can go in a roll-off. Our hazardous-waste guide lists what has to stay out.

What should I do before clearing out a flooded house in the county?

Document it first. In July 2026, after severe weather and flooding, Kendall County asked residents and business owners to take photos or video of damage before cleanup when possible and to report it through the state's iSTAT survey. A County notice posted the same day was headed "FEMA Required Development Permits Prior to Beginning Repairs," so check with the Kendall County Engineer's office before rebuilding. Then the soaked materials can go in a roll-off.
