Rockport is the Aransas County seat, on the Live Oak Peninsula between Copano and Aransas bays. Its restaurants, motels, harbor businesses and shops, plus the contractors who build and fix them, can rent a roll-off sized at 20, 30 or 40 yards, or keep a 2 to 8-yard bin emptied on a set schedule. Past the city limits, homes and lots in Lamar, Holiday Beach, Copano Village and the rest of unincorporated Aransas County can book them too.

How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

When Harvey's eyewall crossed Rockport

Rockport and Fulton took a direct hit from Hurricane Harvey’s eyewall on the night of August 25, 2017, the Weather Service’s Corpus Christi office says, and roofs were blown off and walls collapsed in and around both towns. NOAA’s storm records add the street-level detail: several homes in the Key Allegro subdivision collapsed, exterior walls fell at the high school gymnasium, several churches and several new hotels, and six hangars at the Aransas County Airport were demolished. Countywide, those records tally nearly 1,500 homes destroyed and 175 businesses with major damage, with power out for two to three weeks.

The recovery has run for years. On December 24, 2025, Aransas County Judge Ray A. Garza signed Order DRO-52-2025, renewing the County’s Harvey disaster declaration. The city has kept growing anyway; Census Bureau estimates take Rockport from a 2020 base of 10,068 to 11,348 on July 1, 2025. When an older storefront or office is finally gutted, the drywall, flooring and fixtures fit the 30-yard, the card for office and renovation work. More on gutting a storm-worn commercial space.

Kitchens, bait stands and boat yards by the harbor

The Aransas County Navigation District built Rockport’s harbor in 1935, the Handbook of Texas records, and still runs it from 320 Veterans Memorial Drive. The District lists 126 slips there, with boat yards, fuel, a restaurant and a sanitary pumpout among the shore-side services, and hotels, motels and restaurants within walking distance. All three of its harbors are at or nearing capacity, it says. The Handbook credits the restaurant and motel trades with much of the city’s commercial life, too.

Bait stands and seafood kitchens by the water are where a standing bin earns its keep. Bins of 2 to 4 yards are available on casters for a cramped spot behind a dining room, lid locks keep them shut between collections, and pickups can be booked up to six times a week. Here’s how our dumpster service for seafood restaurants is set up. A marina shop clearing a storeroom, or a boat yard emptying an old shed, can bring in a 30-yard, the size our cards give to junk removal.

Brush piles under Order O-11-2026

Census Bureau estimates for July 1, 2025 place 12,295 of Aransas County’s 26,146 residents outside any city or town, and out there County rules govern burning. Commissioners Court Order O-11-2026 bans outdoor burning in the unincorporated county from 12:01 p.m. on September 28, 2026 until the court or the County Judge ends it, and no later than 11:59 p.m. on November 27. Trash, debris, yard waste, trees and brush are all named. Limbs and cleared brush from a lot in Lamar or Holiday Beach need another way out, and the 40-yard’s card lists landscaping and storm debris. You can size a container for brush and limbs before you call.

Rockport dumpster rental questions

Do you deliver to homes outside Rockport's city limits?

Yes. Houses, lots and job sites in unincorporated Aransas County, including Lamar, Holiday Beach and Copano Village, can get any of our three roll-off sizes delivered. If an out-of-town property needs trash hauled on a regular basis, look at our scheduled pickups for rural homes. Not sure which side of the city line an address sits on? Read it to us at (936) 258-9035 and we'll look it up.

Which cities around Rockport use Frontier for trash service?

Aransas Pass does. The City's own Garbage Collection page names Frontier Waste as its service provider, and the town appears with Taft and Woodsboro among Frontier's official-provider cities. Household pickup inside Rockport is handled under a City contract, which is why our in-town customers are commercial: shops, restaurants, motels, contractors and job sites.

Is Fulton part of Rockport?

No. Fulton is its own town, home to 1,647 people in the Census Bureau's July 1, 2025 estimate, and Fulton Harbor sits in its downtown. The Navigation District describes that harbor as historically a commercial fishing harbor that has grown more popular with recreational boaters, with two bait stands on site and hotels, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Fulton businesses can set up bins and book roll-offs with us just as Rockport businesses do.
