The City of Aransas Pass names Frontier Waste as its garbage provider, so the carts that go to the curb twice a week, Monday and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday or Wednesday and Saturday depending on the street, are emptied by our trucks. Beyond the carts, we bring 20, 30 and 40-yard roll-offs to remodels, cleanouts and job sites, and set 2 to 8-yard dumpsters for restaurants, motels, shops and seafood houses all over town, Conn Brown Harbor included.

How a Frontier drop works
- 1
Tell us the job
What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.
- 2
Get the right size
Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.
- 3
We set it down
On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.
- 4
Call when it’s full
We haul it away and handle the disposal.

Fifteen cubic yards on bulk week, and what stays behind
Bulk week here is generous. Under the City’s Brush/Bulk FAQ, homes with a City garbage account get a monthly pickup of up to 15 cubic yards per resident, with limbs and bulky items in separate piles, set out by 7 a.m. on the Monday your section’s week begins. Stoves, washing machines, water tanks and furniture all count. A refrigerator, freezer or A/C unit needs a tag from an HVAC technician showing the Freon is out, and the crews won’t pick up from vacant lots.
Concrete and construction debris are where a container comes in. The FAQ keeps both off the bulk truck, defining construction debris as building materials left over from construction, remodeling, repair or demolition, and the Citizen’s Collection Station at 800 W. Myrtle Avenue turns away construction and demolition debris too. Tires and hazardous waste are off the bulk list as well, and they can’t go in our containers either. Broken concrete belongs in a 20-yard, a gutted bathroom in a 30 and a teardown in a 40; compare lengths, widths and load counts by size.

Shrimp houses, seafood kitchens and Conn Brown Harbor
With improvements to Conn Brown Harbor after World War II, the Aransas Pass shrimping fleet grew to be the largest on the Gulf coast, the Handbook of Texas notes. The City Council has jurisdiction over the harbor, and three code sections shape how businesses here handle trash:
Section 13-25: no one may leave fish, trash or refuse on piers, bulkheads, streets or parking areas, and users of the harbor’s wharves, docks and sheds must keep their assigned space clean.
Section 25.7-33: anywhere that processes, prepares, sells or serves food is on dumpster service, as are fourplexes, apartment buildings, condominiums, and hotels, motels and RV parks with four or more rooms or spaces.
Section 25.7-36: a dumpster sits outside on a hard surface, reachable for pickup at all hours, and no mattresses go in it.
Section 25.7-45 makes the City’s refuse company its agent for dumpster service, and the City names Frontier as its provider. Ask us about a bin with a lid lock for a seafood house, or read about dumpster service for fourplexes and apartment complexes.
High water on West Nelson Avenue and FM 1069
NOAA’s storm records log rain flooding in Aransas Pass several times since 2018. On June 20 that year, during a multi-day rain that reached 15 to 18 inches in spots, including central San Patricio County and Aransas County, water got into one business and one home in town, and some roads were impassable. South Saunders Street flooded on May 16, 2021. On May 9, 2023, law enforcement reported vehicles stranded on West Nelson Avenue and FM 1069, and several streets went under again on the morning of September 4, 2024.
Once water is inside, wet carpet, drywall, baseboards and cabinets have to come out quickly. The City counts repair debris as construction debris, so bulk week won’t take it. The 30-yard, listed on our cards for home renovation projects, suits tearing out flood-wet walls and floors.
San Patricio, Aransas and a sliver of Nueces
Aransas Pass reaches into three counties. The Census Bureau put the city at 8,842 residents as of July 1, 2025: 7,969 on the San Patricio County side, 856 in Aransas County and 17 in Nueces County. Inside the limits, the county line changes nothing about trash, because City code bills every utility account for garbage service whether it’s used or not (Section 25.7-33). Beyond the city limits, unincorporated San Patricio and Aransas County properties, from houses to job sites, can rent the same three roll-off sizes from us.

Aransas Pass dumpster rental questions
Is Frontier the trash company for Aransas Pass?
Yes. "Our service provider is Frontier Waste," reads the City's Garbage Collection page, and Aransas Pass is one of the towns Frontier serves under a city contract. Since garbage service is billed with your City utility account, the City routes cart replacements and service complaints through its Utilities Office. For a roll-off, a business dumpster or a special pickup, call us at (936) 258-9035.
Can my shop use carts instead of a dumpster?
It depends on the building. Section 25.7-33 lets an owner-occupied or freestanding business pick carts on the commercial schedule or a dumpster, while a strip center or office park with three or more businesses under one owner or manager goes on dumpster service. Section 25.7-34 limits commercial cart service to two pickups a week and two 95-gallon carts of business trash; a shop that keeps setting out more, or leaves bulky items at the curb, is moved to a dumpster.
Who hauls off a cleared lot or a big tree?
Regular brush goes out on your section's bulk week, but Section 25.7-42 of the City code handles lot clearing and tree removal separately: you call the City's authorized hauler to arrange a special pickup, with the fee agreed before the truck comes. In Aransas Pass that's us, at (936) 258-9035. On a big clearing job, a 40-yard, which our cards list for landscaping, can sit on the lot while the crew works.
