By the City’s own description, Cedar Park sits in southwestern Williamson County and northwestern Travis County, and one set of City rules covers all of it, from roll-off parking to what the bulk truck leaves behind. Frontier’s 20, 30 and 40-yard containers take kitchen tear-outs, re-roofs and storm brush, for contractors and businesses in Cedar Park and homeowners past its limits. When you call (210) 807-8555, give the address and say whether the container can go in the driveway.

Remodels in a city that's nearly built out
The City’s 2023 Hazard Mitigation Plan describes Cedar Park as about 98 percent developed land, and its 10-year permit tables show residential construction trending down as the city nears full development while commercial permits trend up. Remodeling a house that’s already standing leaves a familiar pile: cabinets and tile from kitchen and bath tear-outs, old carpet and pad, warped fence panels, a garage’s worth of castoffs. On the commercial side, the City’s project page describes the 54-acre Bell District taking shape on the aging Bell Boulevard corridor, anchored by the new Cedar Park Public Library and Bell Park, with RedLeaf chosen as master developer in 2019. For a contractor gutting a kitchen or redoing a whole floor, the 30-yard is the card that lists home renovation projects; start with a dumpster sized for a whole-house remodel. Cedar Park businesses can add a commercial bin with regular pickups, too.
A City tag for a roll-off parked on the street
In Cedar Park’s residential subdivisions, the City Code keeps trailers, RVs and other large vehicles off public streets, and a roll-off may sit on the street only if it displays a valid City permit (Sec. 17.04.005). Section 17.04.013 lets the Building Official issue that permit when street parking is necessary for public health and safety. Under that section, each permit lasts no more than seven consecutive days, though more seven-day permits can follow, and the City’s sticker or tag, showing the address and the start and end dates, must be displayed on the container; the owner or resident of the house applies. Off the street, the zoning code’s temporary-use table (Sec. 11.02.093) puts a construction dumpster on the lot, at least 10 feet back from the property line, with the refuse secured against wind and animals. Frontier’s trucks need firm, flat ground under the container, 60 feet of room to approach the spot and 21 feet of clearance overhead, so contractors should measure the driveway or lot against each container’s dimensions before delivery day.

Wind in Cedar Grove, fire off Parmer Lane
Two 2023 entries in NOAA’s Storm Events Database happened inside Cedar Park. The first, from before dawn on September 14, logs thunderstorm gusts estimated at 75 mph in the Cedar Grove neighborhood, with fences and power lines blown down, roof shingles stripped and, in the emergency manager’s photo, a six-inch-diameter limb driven through a wall. The second covers the Parmer Lane wildfire, which started on August 8 near Parmer Lane and East Whitestone Boulevard, destroyed two buildings at an apartment complex and burned 37 acres before it was brought under control on August 10. NOAA’s hail records include May 28, 2025, when a CoCoRaHS observer in Cedar Park reported nickel- to chicken-egg-size hail falling for 20 minutes.
Wind and hail send shingles to the 20-yard, which carries roofing on its size card, while limbs and downed fencing fit the 40-yard, our storm-debris container. Roofers can have a roofing roll-off after wind damage on site before the tear-off begins.
Friday porch pickups for paint and chemicals
Cedar Park collects household hazardous waste at the door through a contracted program. Schedule online by midnight Wednesday, then leave only the scheduled items on the front porch, never at the curb, for pickup between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. that Friday, the City’s program page says. Paint, pool chemicals, pesticides, household batteries and electronics are on the accepted list, several with quantity limits, and the program’s handling rules call for labels, spill-proof lids and, for small containers, a box no bigger than 20 by 14 by 14 inches. Propane cylinders, tires and business waste aren’t taken. Those chemicals and batteries are barred from a Frontier roll-off as well; here’s what never goes in a Frontier container.
Cedar Park dumpster rental questions
Will the City's bulk truck haul away remodeling debris?
No. Cedar Park's bulk-trash page lists construction material, roofing shingles, concrete, dirt and rocks among the items it won't pick up, along with tires, batteries and anything hazardous. The same page allows up to 7 items a week beside the cart, including washers, dryers, stoves, mattresses and tied bundles of limbs no longer than 4 feet, no thicker than 4 inches and no heavier than 40 pounds. A torn-out bathroom or an old roof needs a roll-off, and the remodeler or roofer doing the work can order one from us.
Can I burn storm brush in a Cedar Park backyard?
Only with a permit. Section 5.06.001 of the City Code bars open burning inside the city limits and within 5,000 feet of them unless the fire marshal's office has issued a permit, and any burning must follow TCEQ rules. A small recreational fire is allowed, but the same section says it can't be used for land clearing or waste disposal. For a yard full of limbs, the 40-yard is our storm-debris size, whether a tree service is clearing a lot in town or a landowner is cleaning up beyond the city line.
Part of Cedar Park is in Travis County. Does that change my trash service?
No. The City's hazard plan places Cedar Park in southwestern Williamson and northwestern Travis counties, but its utility FAQ says every residence inside the city limits, plus the Twin Creeks area, is served by the City's trash contractor and billed on the City utility bill. The bulk limits, the porch pickup and the street-permit rule above are City rules, so they're the same on both sides of the county line.
