How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

Past 100,000 people and still growing

The Census Bureau’s Vintage 2025 estimates count 106,907 people in Georgetown as of July 1, 2025. The same series opens the decade at 67,436 on the April 1, 2020 estimates base and shows the city passing 100,000 in the July 1, 2024 estimate. The City’s transfer station tells the story another way. The first one was built in 1984, when Georgetown had almost 10,000 people, the City says, and the rebuilt station on W.L. Walden Drive, started April 24, 2023 and finished in October 2024, added separate drop-off areas for residential and commercial traffic.

For general contractors and subcontractors working in Georgetown, we set roll-offs for commercial job sites: large construction and demolition are on the 40-yard card, and offices are on the 30-yard card. Once the doors open, a 2 to 8-yard bin takes over, with service as often as six times weekly.

When the San Gabriel came up in July 2025

NOAA’s Storm Events Database says thunderstorms dumped 8 to 10 inches of rain over the San Gabriel’s headwaters in Burnet County, and on July 5, 2025 the river flooded across Williamson County. In Georgetown, the database records two apartment complexes evacuated, trees knocked down and light poles damaged in San Gabriel Park, and the South Austin Avenue bridge closed. Flooding at College Street and W.L. Walden Drive forced evacuations from the animal shelter, the VFW post and the San Gabriel Crisis Center, among others, and the entry adds that two RV parks downstream flooded, with 30 or more RVs damaged or destroyed. The same NOAA entry says the City removed more than 3,500 cubic feet of debris along the river.

Water in a ground-floor unit or a shop means wet carpet, drywall, cabinets and fixtures coming out quickly. Property managers and business owners can keep roll-offs for flood-damaged units on the lot through the gut-out; the 40-yard card lists remodeling and storm debris.

Apartment move-outs aren't on the bulk route

The City’s bulky-waste page says its contractor doesn’t offer curbside bulk pickup to multifamily complexes, because they’re considered commercial properties, and it tells apartment residents to work with their complex or call a private company. So the sofas, mattresses and bed frames left behind at move-out land with the property manager. A roll-off parked for a busy stretch of turnovers takes the furniture, and for the weekly trash there’s regular bin service for apartment communities, with gravity-bar and lid locks available.

Out past Lake Georgetown

The Army Corps of Engineers finished Lake Georgetown in October 1980, and its data sheet counts 25 miles of shoreline when the lake sits at its conservation level. The country around it has seen fire and wind. NOAA’s records say the San Gabriel wildfire was discovered near the lake’s western end on July 23, 2022, burned until July 28 and covered 466 acres, and about 200 homes were evacuated for several hours that evening. On May 25, 2015, an EF1 tornado struck a ranch west of Georgetown, outside the city limits, and NOAA’s entry from the county’s damage survey lists several large oaks uprooted, the ranch house chimney destroyed and a garage roof thrown about 100 yards.

Outside the city, we deliver to houses, ranches and acreage. Storm debris, demolition and large landscaping are all on the 40-yard card. Before booking a drop on a ranch road or a long gravel drive, look at what each roll-off holds, in pickup loads, and plan a firm, level spot the truck can reach on a straight 60-foot approach, with 21 feet clear above.

Georgetown dumpster rental questions

Can remodel debris go out with Georgetown's bulky-waste pickup?

No. The City's bulk-waste page lists construction waste, naming ceramic or porcelain tubs, fiberglass insulation, sheet glass and sheetrock, among the items its contractor won't collect, along with concrete or bricks, and each scheduled pickup is capped at 3 cubic yards. A contractor working in Georgetown can keep a roll-off on site instead: concrete and bricks are on the 20-yard card, while home renovation projects sit on the 30-yard card.

Do you bring roll-offs to properties outside Georgetown's city limits?

Yes. Past the city limits, Frontier serves everyone, from houses and ranches to acreage and job sites. Describe the driveway or the gate when you call (210) 807-8555, since the box needs hard, flat ground and the truck needs room to back in and lift.

Does Frontier pick up household trash in Georgetown?

No. Inside the city limits, household garbage and recycling collection is the City's own contracted service. Within Georgetown we work with businesses, contractors and property managers, and outside the city limits with any home or property.
