Lumberton started as a railroad stop serving the sawmills and logging camps of southern Hardin County before 1902, the Handbook of Texas says, and later became a residential suburb for Silsbee and Beaumont; it incorporated in 1973. Within the city limits, Frontier’s bins and roll-offs go to businesses, contractors and commercial jobs; past the city line, our 20 to 40-yard containers serve everyone, from Silsbee to rural acreage and homes across Hardin County.

How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

Record water on Village Creek and Pine Island Bayou

NOAA’s storm records show how hard Harvey hit Hardin County in late August 2017: 20 to 40 inches of rain countywide, close to 10,000 homes flooded, and Lumberton listed with Silsbee, Sour Lake and Kountze among the worst-hit areas. Village Creek and Pine Island Bayou both flooded to record levels, and the current brought down the US 96 bridge near Silsbee. High water has come back since. On November 9, 2024, law enforcement reported water over numerous Lumberton roads, along with rescues and several flooded homes. And in the National Weather Service’s report on Tropical Storm Edouard in September 2026, parts of Hardin County logged 17 to 25 inches of rain.

A flooded house sends out wet carpet, padding, drywall, kitchen cabinets and furniture. Our size cards point that cleanup to the 40-yard, listed for storm debris, and interior redos to the 30-yard, listed for home renovation projects. Our page on emptying a flood-damaged house walks through the tear-out.

Silsbee's official waste provider

The Handbook of Texas describes Lumberton as a residential suburb for Silsbee and Beaumont, and Frontier already works for one of those cities. Silsbee, which its City government calls the principal commercial center of Hardin County, appears among the cities Frontier serves as official hauler. To the south, in Jefferson County, Beaumont has its own rules on building debris and business bins, laid out on our page of roll-offs and rules for Beaumont.

Lumberton dumpster rental questions

Can you deliver a roll-off inside Lumberton's city limits?

Yes, when the customer is a business. Contractors, commercial job sites and company properties inside the city can book our roll-offs, and businesses there can add a commercial bin. Beyond the city line, from Silsbee to the county's unincorporated roads, homes and acreage can book too. Properties near the boundary can be hard to call, so phone (936) 258-9035 and we'll check the address first.

Can I burn the brush instead of hauling it?

Sometimes, within limits. Inside Lumberton, Section 18-20 of the City code allows a residential owner to burn brush, leaves and limbs from that lot as one pile no bigger than 60 inches across and 36 inches high, attended, with water on hand, from an hour after sunrise until an hour before sunset. In unincorporated Hardin County, the county judge restricted outdoor burning on August 25, 2026 and ended that order on September 2, while warning that moderate drought conditions continued. For a land-clearing job outside the city, or brush from a business property, the 40-yard is the container our size card lists for large landscaping work.

Where do paint, batteries and pool chemicals go?

To one of the free household hazardous waste collection days held by the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission. Its May 17, 2025 event at Bridge City Intermediate School, for one, was open to Southeast Texas households but not businesses; call 409-899-8444, ext. 7520, to ask about the next date. Hardin County's collection station refuses those items, and our containers can't take them either. Here are the hazards Frontier keeps off its trucks.
