Baytown grew up around the Humble Oil refinery, which the Handbook of Texas says began construction in the fall of 1919, and the city now runs from near the San Jacinto River east into Chambers County. The City’s curbside pickup is built for household trash, so building materials and contractor debris need another way out. We bring 20 and 30-yard roll-offs to contractors and businesses in Baytown and to homes outside its limits, plus 2 to 8-yard commercial bins.

How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

Choose from 2 standard sizes of roll-off containers

What the Green Center on West Main turns away

Baytown’s code sends heavy trash out with the twice-weekly garbage pickup, but it defines heavy trash as furniture, equipment, shipping boxes and other bulky items, not building materials. Those can go to the Green Center at 1601 West Main, which takes building materials year-round from residents who show a driver’s license and a City of Baytown water bill that match. Section 86-104 of the code puts limits on it:

  • no composition shingles, brick, concrete masonry or dirt
  • no trailers longer than 16 feet
  • no debris from a contractor’s commercial work

So a shingle tear-off, a broken-up patio or a remodeling crew’s scrap is roll-off work, and we take it on for the roofers, concrete crews and remodelers doing those jobs in Baytown. Concrete, bricks and roofing all appear on our 20-yard card, and the 30-yard is listed for home renovation projects and roofing debris.

January 24, 2023, from Weaver Street to I-10

On the afternoon of January 24, 2023, an EF3 tornado touched down near El Franco Lee Park and tracked across Southeast Houston, Pasadena and Deer Park before entering Baytown north of the Ship Channel. NOAA’s storm records, based on the National Weather Service survey, describe a mobile home and a house destroyed on Weaver Street near Bayway, spottier damage as far north as Spur 330, and power lines down up to Interstate 10. That afternoon fell 75 years to the day after the City of Baytown was established, a date the Handbook of Texas gives as January 24, 1948.

Rain brings its own cleanups. Early on April 29, 2024, NOAA’s records show flash flooding near SH 146 and Alexander Drive, with widespread road flooding reported across Mont Belvieu. Soaked carpet and drywall that restoration contractors pull from a flooded room fit the 20-yard, whose card lists remodeling cleanup. Roofers stripping wind-damaged shingles can use either card, since both take roofing, and there’s more on a roll-off for tornado roof repairs.

More than eight units means a private hauler

City collection in Baytown stops short of most businesses. The code says the City won’t collect garbage, trash or brush from commercial establishments, apart from small businesses near existing residential customers that contract for bagged pickup, and it counts apartment complexes, RV parks and manufactured home parks with more than eight units as commercial. Those properties hire their own hauler. Where the container sits matters too: Sec. 86-136 makes it an offense to place a commercial waste container on a public right-of-way, and Sec. 86-139 lets the City remove one left there after notice, at the owner’s expense. For regular pickup at a Baytown business or one of those larger complexes, our bins run from 2 yards up to 8, and we’ll empty them up to six times a week; the three smallest sizes can roll on casters.

Baytown dumpster rental questions

How much brush will Baytown's crews take after a big trim?

Up to 10 cubic yards of clean brush per home each month, the cap in Sec. 86-71 of the City code; anything over that is yours to haul. Crews work one zone per week on a rotating schedule, so each part of town gets one brush week a month. The City's guidelines ask for limbs 8 feet or shorter at the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your week, with no lumber, wood or plastic in the pile. Landscapers clearing a fence line along with the shrubs can load both into one of our roll-offs.

Where do Baytown residents take paint and pool chemicals?

To the City's Household Hazardous Waste Event, held twice a year. It's open to residents inside the city limits who bring proof of residency, such as a driver's license or utility bill; the City says residents of its extraterritorial jurisdiction and businesses can't take part. Public Works, at 281-420-5300, has the next date. A roll-off can't take them either. Here's why paint, propane and pool chemicals stay out.

Do you deliver outside Baytown's city limits?

Yes, for houses, land and job sites alike. Our Old River-Winfree location also serves Highlands and Channelview, two unincorporated communities in Harris County. Call (936) 258-9035 with the address, and we'll confirm the container size and where it can sit.
