Frontier has been the City of Tomball’s solid waste provider since October 1, 2024, collecting trash, recycling, and bulk and brush across town. When a general contractor needs a roll-off inside city limits, the City’s own FAQ sends them to us. Our containers run 20, 30 and 40 yards, sized for anything from a garage purge to new construction, and businesses set up dumpster service through the City, which contracts with Frontier.

How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

What Tomball counts as construction debris

Tomball’s curbside crews won’t take construction, remodeling, DIY or contract work, and the City spells out what falls under that heading:

  • glass, brick, concrete and asphalt
  • roofing, insulation and lumber from a building or demolition project
  • rocks, soil and tree remains left from clearing land to build

The City says that material takes a special collection or a roll-off through Frontier. Brick and concrete go in the 20-yard, which our size cards assign to heavy debris; demolition and large construction call for the 40. Everyday household bulk has its own cap: the City allows 12 items, no more than 2 cubic yards, on each home’s second weekly collection day. Pickup days and accepted items are on Frontier’s Tomball service page.

Spring Creek, hail and a wet January

Flooding near Tomball has come off Spring Creek before. On January 24, 2024, five people were rescued from high water along FM 2920 near Mueschke Road as the creek flooded, according to NOAA’s storm records. Those records also describe flooded homes, businesses and vehicles from Tomball to Spring during Harvey in August 2017. Hail turns up as well: on June 9, 2025, broadcast media photographed a hailstone of roughly 1.25 to 1.5 inches in Tomball, NOAA’s records show.

High water means carpet, drywall and cabinets coming out in a hurry, and hail can mean a new roof. The 20-yard is listed for both remodeling cleanup and roofing. If the job is in Spring, see our Spring dumpster rentals.

Household chemicals: an appointment on Hahl Road

The City of Tomball doesn’t collect household hazardous waste; it points residents to Harris County. The county’s facility at 6900 Hahl Road, near US 290 and Gessner, works by appointment only, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9 and 3 and on the second and fourth Saturdays between 9 and 2. It’s open to Harris County residents outside the City of Houston and takes only items used in a home. Lithium batteries, propane tanks, pool chemicals and wet paint can’t go in a roll-off either; here’s what our drivers can’t take.

More neighbors since 2020

The Census Bureau’s estimates show Tomball at 15,768 residents on July 1, 2025, against an April 2020 base of 12,310. More households mean more move-out weekends and more remodels. Frontier collects for the City of Conroe too, where the same estimates show faster growth still; for projects there, see our dumpster rentals in Conroe.

Tomball dumpster rental questions

My business needs an extra dumpster pickup. Who do I call?

Inside Tomball, the City handles it. Its FAQ tells commercial customers to call the City of Tomball at (281) 290-1450 to schedule an additional collection, and additional fees apply. The same line arranges an unusual-accumulation pickup when items won't fit in the dumpster.

Will the curb crew take the limbs from a big tree trim?

Up to a point. Frontier's Tomball guidelines don't accept limbs thicker than 4 inches, the City caps bundles at 40 pounds, and anything past 2 cubic yards becomes a paid special collection arranged through the City. A large trim or a lot-clearing job is better handled with a roll-off; we list the 40-yard for large landscaping.
