In a September 10, 2025 news release, the Town of Addison counted more than 200 restaurants, 22 hotels and 12 million square feet of office space inside its 4.4 square miles. The Town’s contractor collects only from single-family homes, and businesses and apartment complexes hire their own hauler. That’s the work we do here: bins sized for restaurant kitchens, offices and hotels, from 2 to 8 yards, plus roll-offs in 20, 30 and 40-yard sizes for job sites.

How a Frontier drop works

  1. 1

    Tell us the job

What’s going in the container, and where it has to sit.

  2. 2

    Get the right size

Heavy debris like shingles and concrete goes in a smaller box. Bulky junk goes in a bigger one.

  3. 3

    We set it down

On firm, level ground with a clear approach for the truck.

  4. 4

    Call when it’s full

We haul it away and handle the disposal.

Addison Junction and the new Silver Line station

DART’s Silver Line began carrying passengers in October 2025, and Addison is one of seven cities on the 26-mile line, according to the transit agency. On September 10, 2025, the Town announced that the City Council had approved a development agreement for Addison Junction, planned for 14 acres at the Addison Circle Silver Line Station: a 155,550-square-foot mass timber office building, a 140-room boutique hotel and The Hangar, a 12,000-square-foot event venue, among other uses. The Town’s project page shows the district’s public infrastructure work starting March 2, 2026, with design and site surveys under way and construction expected in 2027.

Contractors on jobs like these can match the box to the phase. The 40-yard card on this page names large construction and demolition, so check which roll-off a commercial build calls for before the first delivery.

Screened, gated and behind the building

Addison’s Unified Development Code, which the City Council adopted on March 25, 2025, decides where a permanent bin can sit. Its Section 5.6.9 requires every refuse container to be screened from public rights-of-way and set on a reinforced concrete pad and approach. Under the same section, containers covering 40 square feet or more go inside an enclosure, at the rear of the property where practicable, sited so the truck never has to back onto a public right-of-way (alleys excepted), and kept shut except at pickup. The walls have to suit the building’s materials, and chain link or corrugated metal isn’t allowed. The tabs above list each bin’s width and depth, so measure the enclosure before choosing a size.

Where the dumpsters go at an Addison event

Chapter 67 of the Town code was written partly to bring business to Addison’s hotels, restaurants and merchants, and its permits ask about trash. Town-hosted events such as Kaboom Town! are exempt, and so are functions held entirely inside a venue built for them, like a hotel ballroom (Sec. 67-3). Other special events need a permit first (Sec. 67-4):

EventReviewed byTrash rules
Restaurant or shop promotion open to the publicEnvironmental services official, at least 14 days ahead (Sec. 67-20)Set up no earlier than the day before; cleared by noon the next business day (Sec. 67-21)
District function under 1,500 a day, such as a conferenceConference Centre staff (Sec. 67-18)The application covers dumpsters, trash containers and trash collection
Event averaging 1,500 or more a daySpecial event manager; district events apply at least 120 days out (Sec. 67-4)Those items, plus a to-scale final site plan showing the dumpsters, due at least 30 days before (Sec. 67-7)

Large events are on our 30-yard card; here’s how we set up event trash containers and pickup plans.

Wind at the airport, a bent tower on Belt Line Road

The automated weather station at Addison Airport measured a 71 mph gust early on March 13, 2019, as a line of severe thunderstorms crossed North Texas, according to NOAA’s Storm Events Database. The same records describe a cell tower bent over near Belt Line and Midway on January 2, 2017, and a public report of quarter-size hail in Addison on April 2, 2023. Roofing is on both our 20 and 30-yard cards, which makes either one a container for an office-building re-roof after a storm like those.

Addison dumpster rental questions

Will the Town's bulk crew take furniture from an Addison office?

No. Addison's bulk and brush pickup is for single-family residents only, and the Town's trash page says it doesn't provide solid waste collection for businesses or apartment complexes. Desks, partitions and carpet from an office move-out go in a roll-off instead. Office work tops the list on our 30-yard card, a box that holds about 8 pickup-truck loads.

Our Addison lot is tight. Where can the roll-off go?

On your property. Under Addison's code a roll-off is a commercial container, and Section 66-68 forbids a hauler to leave one on a street, alley or highway right-of-way without the Town's authorization. The same section requires access across a driveway rather than over a curb. Pick a hard, flat spot with at least 60 feet for the truck to approach and 21 feet of clearance overhead, the minimums in our delivery guidelines.

Do Addison apartment complexes get trash service from the Town?

No. The Town's contractor collects from single-family homes, and the Town says apartment complexes, like businesses, hire a private collection company of their choice. Whoever they hire works under Section 66-68: the container gets emptied at least once a week and carries the hauler's name and phone number, and if trash keeps spilling over, the hauler has to tell the property it needs a bigger container or more pickups. Managers can start with our dumpster pickup schedules for multifamily properties.
